About Why Knot Workshop
We’re Dominique and Jeremy, the husband-and-wife team behind Why Knot Workshop. What began with a love of embroidery during maternity leave has grown into a creative workshop where we combine our different skills, materials, and ideas to make meaningful pieces that are meant to be enjoyed and kept.
Dominique started with embroidery, stitching while holding a napping baby, and soon found herself exploring punch needle, needle felting, and other fiber arts. Jeremy has always had a passion for woodworking, and naturally began creating the frames, tools, and wooden pieces to complement those projects. Before long, we were working side by side and discovering just how much we enjoyed combining wood, wool, and other materials in unexpected ways.
Today, our workshop includes CNC and laser technology alongside traditional hands-on techniques. These tools allow us to create precise, detailed designs and offer thoughtful personalization, while still keeping the focus on craftsmanship and the character of handmade work.
Our finished pieces and personalized gifts are created with the idea that the best things often carry a little meaning with them—a name, a memory, a favorite pet, a special occasion, or simply something made specifically for you. We love creating pieces that feel personal today and have the potential to become keepsakes for years to come.
